Survived by: daughter, Patty (Doug) Appel, and son, Dennis Nelson, all of Fort Calhoun, NE; daughter, Pam (Lenny) Swanger of Omaha, NE; brothers, Larry (Sue) Nelson of Bolivar, MO, and Loren (Mary) Nelson of Florida; sister, Dorothy Wagner of Fullerton, CA; grandchildren: Michelle (Ritchie) Nelson, Jeff (Ginger) Appel and Lisa (Craig) Weber; great-grandchildren: Nolyn, Kloey and Wyatt Appel.
Visitation: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.
Interment: Fort Calhoun Cemetery
Military Honors: conducted by Fort Calhoun American Legion Post #348
