Zeke C. Halstead, 77, died on Aug. 24, 1988, at his home in Porterville, California. Mr. Halstead lived in Blair most of his life and resided in California for the last 20 years.

Zeke Halstead was born on March 29, 1911, in Blair. He was a veteran of World War II and earned three medals while in the service: the Victory Medal, an American Campaign Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Halstead is survived by his wife, Mae Halstead, Potterville, Ca; a daughter, Lana Fauskin of San Diego, Ca.; a grandson, Jeffery Ettelson of Redondo Beach, Ca.; four step grandchildren, Laura Fauskin, Eric Fauskin, James Fauskin and Michael Thomas all of California.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 1988 at 11 a.m. in the Blair Cemetery.
