Services for Adella L. Hamsa, 82 of Fremont, who died July 15, 1994 at Arbor Manor in Fremont, are 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. Rev. Mike Eckley is officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery at Fremont.
Adella L. Hamsa was born December 6, 1911 at Howells, Nebraska to Emil and Mary Dostal Steffel. She was raised at Howells and lived in the Schuyler area from 1937 to 1943 when she moved to Omaha.
In Omaha, she worked at the Martin Bomber Plant, Brody-Lewis and Pendleton Woolen Mills. She moved to Fremont in 1953 and worked at the former Mode O Day and Campbell’s Soup Company.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Presbyterian Quilting club.
She married Milo Hamsa November 18, 1970 in Fremont. He preceded her in death August 3, 1978.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three infant children and two brothers, Longin Steffel and Amos Steffel.
She is survived by a daughter, Edith (Mrs. Robert) Evert Andreasen of Kennard; a brother, Lambert Steffel of Howells; a sister, Helen Maly of Fremont; a sister-in-law, Agnes Steffel of Lincoln; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Casket bearers are Jeff Connick, Denis Anderson, Robert Goodwin, Brian Andreasen, Leonard Maly and Dale Steffel.
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.

Adella Steffel was born Dec. 6, 1911, at Howells and grew up there. She lived in Schuyler from 1937 to 1943, when she moved to Omaha where she worked at the Martin bomber Plant, Brody-Lewis and Pendleton woolen Mills. She moved to Fremont in 1953 and worked at the former Mode O’ Day and Campbell Soup co. She married Milo Hamas Nov. 18, 1970, in Fremont. He died Aug. 3, 1978.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Presbyterian Quilting Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Edith Andreasen of Kennard; a brother, Lambert of Howells; a sister, Helen Maly of Fremont; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by three children and two brothers.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Mike Eckley will officiate. Visitation is in progress until 9 tonight. A prayer service will be 7 tonight at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Ridge Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
