A. E. Hanna Here Since ’01 Dies In Sleep-Veteran Photographer, State Past Grand Patriarch Of I.O.O.F-Also Known As Flower Lover
A. E. Hanna passed peacefully away in his sleep last Sunday at 9:30 p.m. He had been feeling fine during the day and had done some work in his flower garden according to reports.
Mr. Hanna came to Blair 36 years ago and immediately entered a photographic studio and for a long term of years continued to operate the studio, finally selling out, for a number of years following his profession of photography.
Mr. Hanna was a member of the I.O.O.F lodge and had the honor of being a Past Grand Patriarch of the State and at his death was secretary of the local lodge.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Davis, of Blair and a son, Robert of Chicago, also six granddaughters, five grandsons and two great-grandsons.
Mr. Hanna was an ardent member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, a high class citizen and a good neighbor. His friends were legion.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Campbell Mortuary with I.O.O.F. in charge and the services by Rev. T. J. Reese and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery. |
