Helena Simonsen Died Thursday

Funeral services for Miss Helena Simonsen, 47 years of age, a former Blairite, who died Thursday at a Lincoln hospital, were held today (Monday) at the First Lutheran Church in Blair, the Rev. George Patterson officiating. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Miss Simonsen was born Aug. 9, 1914 at Verona, Nebr. She is a graduate of Blair High School and attended Dana College. She taught vocational therapy at Axtell, Nebr., until she became ill. She has been confined to a wheelchair and her bed for the past 25 years. She moved from Blair about 12 years ago.

Miss Simonsen is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wesley Andersen of Evan, Minn., and Miss Eleanora Simonsen of Omaha.
