George Metzinger Died In Omaha
Blair Man, Aged 52, Died at His Home in Omaha Sunday Night
George Metzinger, aged 52, for many years a Blair resident, died Sunday evening of a heart attack in Omaha, his present home.
He was born in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1884, and came to this county with his parents when a youth. He had followed the carpenter trade for many years, being skilled in that line. During the Florida land “boom” several years ago, Metzinger moved to that state, where he remained several years.
His only child is a daughter, Mrs. Kirby Cook of Omaha. A sister, Mrs. Roscoe Rhea of Pipestone, Minnesota, also survives.
Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Thomas J. Reese of the Baptist church officiating. Interment was in the Blair cemetery.

Funeral services were held in Blair Wednesday afternoon from the Campbell funeral home for George Metzinger, 52, native of Blair and practically a lifelong resident of this vicinity, who died Sunday, February 10, in Omaha. Rev. Thomas J. Reese, pastor of the Blair Baptist church, officiated.
Surviving Mr. Metzinger are a daughter, Mrs. Kirby Cook, of Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. Roscoe Rhea, of Pipestone, Minnesota.
