SERVICES FOR MRS. CASSIE HANSEN WERE HELD TUESDAY
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Methodist Church in Arlington for Mrs. Cassie M. Hansen 72, who passed away at her home in Arlington early Friday evening. Rev. Elvin Bratton officiated.
Mrs. Hansen was born at Blair, Nebraska on April 25, 1894 to the late James and Georgiana Hastings. She was married to H. Charles Hansen in 1915 and they made their home on a farm west of Blair. He preceded her in death in 1940. Surviving are their four children, one son, Harvey M. Hansen, Omaha, three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Stork, Mrs. Gifford (Georgiana) French and Mrs. Melvin (Hazel) Sorensen all of Arlington; seven grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one brother, Don J. Hastings, of Columbus, Montana, and two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Nay of British Columbia, Canada and Mrs. Bernice Binkley of Seattle, Washington. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hansen was an active member of the Methodist Church all her life and was active in the Rebekah Lodge for many years.
Casket bearers were her grandsons, Carl Dein, Eugene French, Melvern Hilgenkamp, Robert Brown, Micky Grefe and Ronnie Sorensen.
Interment was at Blair Cemetery with Reckmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
