Fred Hansen died on Dec. 4, 1893, of consumption.
Mr. Hansen was born in Sckrberk, Schleswig, Germany, March 19, 1868, and came to America about nine years ago and was married to Miss Rasmussen, of Blair in 1889.
Mr. Hansen was a friend to everybody, and all feel a gloom of sadness for one being taken away in the prime of life.
The old adage is the old must die and the young may die.
The funeral was held at the M. E. Church on Dec. 5th. Rev. Charles and Smith officiating. He was buried under the auspices of the Modern Woodmen of America. There was a large turnout of the citizens in this community.
He leaves a wife and one child to mourn his loss. Mrs. Hansen extends her thanks to all those who lent a helping hand in the hour of trial.
