Samuel Cox Died Sunday
Herman Farmer was Victim of A Heart Attack
Samuel M. Cox, well known farmer in the Herman vicinity passed away at the Blair hospital Sunday. His illness and death were attributed to a heart attack.
Samuel Morton Cox was born at Fullerton, Nebraska December 22, 1888. He was 66 years old at the time of his death.
He was raised in the Fullerton area and engaged in farming as a livelihood. He was married in 1911 at Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
Mr. and Mrs. Cox farmed for a number of years in the Bennington vicinity, moving to their present farm southwest of Herman six years ago.
Surviving Mr. Cox are his wife, Ethel and two sons, Gerald, of Benson, Nebraska and Max of Ft. Crook, Nebraska. A daughter passed away two years ago.
Two brothers also survive. They are Roydon of Central City, Nebraska and Warren, of Omaha.
Five sisters survive. They are: Mrs. Grace Moore, of California, Mrs. Mary Ackerman of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, Mrs. Walter Williams of Glenwood, Iowa, Mrs. William Robinson, of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, and Mrs. Almeda Thomas, of Columbus, Nebraska.
Funeral services are being held today (September 8) at the Herman Methodist Church with the Rev. Belvoni Ireland, of Blair, conducting the services. Burial under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair, will be made in the Herman cemetery. The Herman Masonic Lodge will conduct graveside services.
