Elmer A. (Curly) Haynie, 88, of Fort Calhoun, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Elmer A. Haynie was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Gretna.
He was a member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion Post No. 348; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Terry Cash; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Dorothy Haynie; nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Haynie.
Memorials are suggested to the Fort Calhoun American Legion Post No. 348 and the Legion Auxiliary.
