Former Blair Doctor Dies
DR. D. W. BELL, AGE 70, WHO WAS BORN IN COUNTY, DIES AT LINCOLN
Ill several months, a former Blair physician, Dr. D. W. Bell, died early Saturday at his home, 2315 J St, Lincoln.
As David Bell, he was born in Washington County in 1880, and lived near Papillion as a young man. After being admitted to medical practice, he served in Omaha, also was once a druggist at Herman.
In Lincoln, where he had lived a number of years, Dr. Bell served as a member of the rating board in the Veterans Administration. He was forced to retire a year ago, however, because of ill health.
Dr. Bell was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Anna M.; two children, Beatrice of Lincoln and Trabor D. Bell of Lubbock, Tex.; three brothers, Fred and Edwin Bell of Papillion and Albert Bell of Monterey, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Pflug of Papillion and Mrs. D. E. Newton of Monterey, Calif.
The funeral was held at the Claire Mortuary, Papillion, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Papillion.
