SERVICES HELD IN FREMONT FOR EDWARD LUTHER
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Fremont for
Edward W. Luther, age 81, of 1238 N. "C" Street in Fremont, who died July 21, 1981, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, after a brief illness.
He was born on the family farm near Winslow on July 12, 1900. The son of Martin and Anna (Borcherding) Luther. He married the former Elaine Baker. She preceded him in death in August, 1974.
Mr. Luther had operated a service station in Fremont; had been employed by Diers Ford, Peterson Machine and Supply Co.; and later by the First United Methodist Church, of which he was a member.
His survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Debra) Schafer of Arlington and Mrs. Larry (Charlotte) Young of Fremont; two sons, Gary Luther of Loveland, Colorado and Bill Luther of Colchester, Illinois; ten grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Wilber (Laura) Fouts, Fremont and Mrs. Alta Luckinbill of Denver.
Memorials for Mr. Luther may be given to his church or to the Arlington Rescue Squad Fund.
Ludvigsen Mortuary, E. Hwy 30 in Fremont, was in charge of the arrangements. |
