#1-Published in Pilot on 7 September 1904
With the deepest regrets we are called upon to chronicle the death of Mrs. H.H. Lund, who departed this life at her home in Lincoln township, Wednesday, August 31, with that dread disease, consumption. Mary Christensen was born in Denmark, January 26, 1871, and came to America in 1881, and at the age of thirteen was confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church. She was married to Hans H. Lund in Omaha, May 2, 1890, and to their happy union were born eight children, of whom six are living, Mable, Henry, Albert, Nona, Clarence and Leona, and leaving a little babe seven weeks old at the time of her death. She was laid to rest in the Danish cemetery. The Pilot joins with many friends in extending to the bereaved husband and children its sincere sympathy in the loss of a dear wife and beloved mother.
