DR. HEMPHILL DIED SUNDAY
FORMER BLAIR RESIDENT DIED SUDDENLY WHILE PLAYING GOLF
Dr. William F. Hemphill, 68 years of age, of Omaha and a former Blair Resident, died suddenly while playing golf on an Omaha golf course Sunday.
Dr. Hemphill moved to Omaha from Blair in 1941. He was a member of the Blair Congregational Church and member of the Church Board of Trustees while in Blair. He served on the Blair Board of Education and was president of the board for several years. He was an active civic worker.
Dr. Hemphill, who was born Aug. 7, 1892, is survived by a son, Col. Robert Hemphill of Alexander, Va.; and a daughter, Mrs. Janet Jenkins of Lincoln, and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Lola Hemphill died Sunday, May 8, 1960.
