SERVICES ARE ON MONDAY FOR CHARLES HERRON

Funeral services are Monday, September 7 at 10 a.m. for Charles Wilbur Herron, 63, who died at Blair Memorial Community Hospital on September 3, 1981.
Rev. James Metzgar is conducting the services. Burial is in Blair Cemetery.
Charles Wilbur Herron was born June 21, 1918. On December 18, 1941, he married his wife Helen in Huntsville, Missouri.
He was raised in Moberly, Missouri and worked at an airplane factory in Williamsport, Pennsylvania before he joined the Navy. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He has lived in Blair since 1956 and was a foreman for Drake Williams Steel Company in Omaha. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, First Baptist Church, and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, Blair; and one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Carol) Shotwell, Blair. One brother, J. I. Herron, Westminister, California; one sister, Mrs. Wilma Durham, Cabool, Missouri; and four grandchildren also survive him.
