Lorraine Darlene Johnson of Blair died October 3, 2016, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at First United Methodist Church at 10:30 AM. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Lorraine D. Johnson was born January 14, 1923, in DeSoto, Nebraska to Herbert and Blanche (Wallace) Jones. She was a graduate of Ft. Calhoun High School. On November 14, 1941, she was united in marriage to Curtis Johnson Sr. in California. Lorraine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair for over 50 years. She was known for being a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to bake and always had a supply of cookies on hand.
She is survived by her son, Roger (RoseMarie Karnish) Johnson; daughter, Elaine (Alan) Engelke; granddaughters, Lori (Matt) Wolff and Jill (Chris) Jensen; great-grandchildren: Frank Thomas Wolff, Emma Lorraine Wolff, Lance Jensen and Emma Rose Karnish.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Johnson Sr.; son, Curtis Neale Johnson Jr.; infant granddaughter, Kellie Engelke; infant great-grandson, Spencer Jensen; brothers, Herbert Jones, Wallace "Bus" Jones and Robert Jones; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
