Mother of Blair Woman Died at Hospital Thursday
Gladys Viola Blake, a resident of the Crowell Memorial Home and the mother of Mrs. Jessie (John) Christopher, died at the Blair Hospital Thursday, September 4th.
Mrs. Blake was 73 years of age. She was born in Edgerton, South Dakota December 3, 1901.
Mrs. Blake, who has been a housewife all of her life, is survived by her husband Roscoe Blake and by three daughters and a son.
Besides Mrs. Christopher, of Blair, the daughters are Mrs. Mavis Bowen of Los Alamitos, California, and Mrs. Twila Kumm, of Eugene, Oregon. A son, Duane Blake, lives at Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Funeral services are being held today, September 8th, at the Gregory United Methodist Church, in South Dakota with the Rev. Rodney Gist conducting the service. Burial will be made in the IOOF Cemetery at Gregory.
Pallbearers are Gary Christopher, Richard Blake, Bradley Kumm, David Kumm, Dennis Swaney and Don Larsen.
The Campbell Mortuary, of Blair, is in charge.
