Former Herman Man Dies In Lincoln Hospital

The Rev. Harvey S. Souder, onetime pastor of the Blair Christian Church and formerly of Herman, died Dec. 18 at a Lincoln hospital.

Services for the 88-year-old minister were held in Beatrice where he had lived for a number of years.

Born in Indiana, Harvey Souder came to Herman as a boy with his father in 1876.

Surviving are his wife, Grace of Beatrice. His first wife died in 1936. Surviving also are eight children, 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
