MRS. HINES, 78, SUCCUMBS
LONGTIME BLAIRITE DEAD; FUNERAL RITES ARE SET FOR FRIDAY
Mrs. Gilbert G. Hines, 78, wife of a Blair contractor, died Tuesday night in a hospital following a lengthy illness.
The funeral, it is announced, will be held at the Campbell Mortuary Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Homer L. Dickerson of First Methodist Church is to officiate, and burial will follow in Blair Cemetery.
Mrs. Hines, as Alma Gochenouer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Gochenouer, was born June 8, 1874, at Algona, Ia. She came to Blair in 1887 with her parents as a young firl, and this had been her home since.
She and G.G. Hines were married here Jan. 23, 1901 by the Rev. M. Tingley. Mr. Hines was then associated with the Crowell Grain & Lumber Co.
Surviving Mrs. Hines is her husband. She was the last of her immediate family. Preceding her in death-mainly in recent years- were five sisters, Mrs. Lou Latta (Ella), Mrs. O.M. Ireland (Lottie), Mrs. John Dickson (Frankie), Mrs. Della Trimble and her twin sister, Mrs. Grant Garner. Also preceding her in death were her half-brother, Joseph Gochenouer, and a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Knowington, the latter of Montana.
