ELDERLY BLAIR WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN YARD

Mrs. Laura Hinkley, elderly Blair woman who lived at North 19th Street, was found dead in her back yard Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Hinkley was 85 years of age. She had lived alone at that address for a number of years. Her husband, the late Guy Hinkley, is deceased.

She was born at Orum, Nebraska, seven miles west of Blair and had lived in the county all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Rasmussen.

Mr. and Mrs. Hinkley farmed for a number of years and later retired to live in Blair.

The couple had no children but Mrs. Hinkley is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She had outlived all of her brothers and sisters.

The nieces are Mrs. Floyd Hinz, of Blair and Mrs. Fred Jensen of Blair, Helen Holstein of Scholler, Iowa; Evelyn McCarthy of Bakersfield, California; and Mrs. Merrill Martz of Boise, Idaho.

The nephews: Harold Rasmussen and Raymond Rasmussen, both of Blair, and Leonard Nelson of Arlington, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Funeral Home on Friday, October 20 with the Rev. John Petersen conducting the services. Burial was made in the Orum Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronald Holstein, Kenneth Jensen, Ronald Nelson, Larry Nelson, R.J. Rasmussen and Fred Wild.
