Verna M.B. Stork, 99, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Verna Minnie Bertha Blome was born Oct. 25, 1911, on a farm near Beemer to William and Johanna (Moseman) Blome. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beemer. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Arlington.
On June 24, 1936, she married Herbert C. Stork at Beemer. The couple farmed near Arlington until retiring in 1974 and moving into Arlington. They moved to Lincoln in 1997.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Clarence Flagel and Lois and Darrell Ullman, all of Lincoln; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, in September 2004; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Irene.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Arlington, Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln, or the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
