Washington County native Earl W. Hoier, 87, died May 31, 2005, in Covington, La.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.
Earl Woodrow Hoier was born March 21, 1918, in Spiker to Andrew and Kristine (Nielsen) Hoier. He attended school in Spiker. In 1941, he married Vivian Carlson; they lived and farmed in the Herman area.
Mr. Hoier will be remembered as an outdoorsman who loved to trap and hunt his entire life.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary AuchMoedy of Mandeville, La.; one grandson and his family; two great-granddaughrers; brother, Howard Hoier of Fremont; sister-in-law, Pearl Casey of Blair; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; brother, Russell; and sister, Ethel Danielmeyer.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
