SERVICES FOR A. HOKAMP TO BE THURSDAY AFTERNOON
August Hokamp, a pioneer resident of Washington County, passed away Monday morning at the age of 95 years old, at the Dodge County Hospital following a lingering illness. Mr. Hokamp was born January 31, 1876, and spent his entire life on the same farm north of Arlington.
He was married to Martha Knecht, Feruary 23, 1911.
Survivors are his wife, Martha and the following children: Mrs. Walter (Lora) Giesselmann, Blair, Nebraska; Mrs. Meta Breithaupt, Fremont, Nebraska; Albert Hokamp, Arlington; Mrs. Elmer (Norma) Katt, Herman; Martin Hokamp, St. Louis, Nebraska and Gilbert Hokamp, Arlington.
Fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. One daughter, Esther, preceeded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Donald P. Gesterling officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Reckmeyer Funeral Home is in charge.
