SERVICES FOR ROBERT HOLDER HELD WEDNESDAY
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Dorr Funeral Home in Falls City, Nebraska for Robert W. Holder, 47, who passed away on Sunday, May 25th, at Blair Hospital. He had been in failing health for about three years.
Mr. Holder was born on June 23, 1932 at Salem, Nebraska to Fred and Goldie Holder. He was married to Delores German at Verdon, Nebraska on April 30, 1953, and the Holders lived in Fort Calhoun since 1954-1955, where they attended Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. He was a foreman for Fort Calhoun Stone company. Robert, a graduate of Verdon High in 1951, was a Korean Veteran, serving in the Army from 1952 to 1954.
In addition to his wife, Delores, survivors include three sons: Robert B. of Lincoln; David A. and J.R., both of Fort Calhoun; a daughter, Christie, of Fort Calhoun; three brothers; Leroy of Highland, Kansas; Donald of Humboldt, Nebraska; Dale, of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Helen Marcella) Burtwell, of Lincoln; and his father, Fred, of Verdon, Nebraska.
Reverend Ward Merritt conducted the funeral service and burial was made in Verdon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Hall, Ted. F. Bentley, Charles Neff, John S. Mitchell, Kenneth Deckard, and Leo Crook.
