Mike Cornick, 75
Mike Cornick, age 75, formerly of Fort Calhoun, NE, passed away on May 17, 2017, in Glenwood, Iowa.
He was born on May 2, 1942. Mike served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He married Deloris Jipp on November 24, 1965. Mike worked as a boilermaker for 20 years and was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 83.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Mark and Elsie Viola (Shumaker) Cornick; daughter, Teresa Miller, in 2007, and sister, Ann Shima.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Cornick; son, Mark (Kaylee) Cornick of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nancy (Frank) Bell of Fairfield, Iowa, and Sally (Roger) Bell of Roseburg, Oregon.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood, IA. Memorials can be directed to the family.
Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood is in charge of arrangements.
