Harold Boker, 67
A memorial service was held at Presbyterian Church of the Cross for Harold Boker, 67, of Omaha who died October 8, 1991 as a result of a tractor fire on property he owned east of Arlington in Washington County. He was cremated.
Harold Boker was born in Plainview February 21, 1924. He moved to Omaha as a child and attended Oakdale School. He graduated from Central High School in 1942.
He was a state champion wrestler in high school.
He entered in the United States Army Air Force in 1942 and served with the eighth squadron in England and was a flight engineer and turret gunner in a B-17. He flew 35 missions.
After his return, he attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and received a business administration degree in 1950. He also was on the wrestling team there.
He worked for Standard Oil for a time and then was a manager for Marshall Nursery. He was a landscape architect, arborist, and nurseryman.
After leaving Marshall Nursery operation, he was a manager of Gifford Farm for seven years.
He is survived by his wife, June; three daughters, Kathryn Kirk of Omaha, Marsha Finneman of New Orleans, and Julie (Mrs. Mark) N. Johnson of rural Arlington. Four grandsons, a brother, F. Marshall Boker of LeGrande, Oregon and a sister, Eunice Asleson of Minneapolis, Minnesota also survive him.
