Manley Fisher Died At Age Of 80 Years
Manley Ray Fisher passed away at his rural home on Friday, July 30th at the age of 80 years.
Mr. Fisher was born on February 26, 1896 in Bradshaw, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife Mabel, 2 sons and 2 daughters.
The sons are: Paul of Rogers, Arkansas, and Dr. Wayne Fisher of Alden, Iowa.
The daughters are: Mrs. Adrian (Jean) Flynn, Blair, and Mrs. Warren (Mary) Peters of Wichita, Kansas. He has 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fisher was a retired cross-country truck driver and farmer.
Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. Funeral services are pending as this newspaper went to press on Saturday.

Services For Manley R. Fisher Tuesday, Aug. 3rd
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 3rd for Manley R. Fisher 80-year old Blair man who lived just west of Blair on Highway 91.
The deceased was born at Bradshaw, Nebraska, February 26, 1896. On May 5, 1916, he was married to Mabel Porter at Seward, Nebraska, and they farmed in York County.
In 1937 they moved to Blair and farmed in the Garnder School District. They later moved to a farm northwest of Blair where they have since resided. At one time he was a truck driver for one of the interstate truck lines.
He is survived by his wife Mabel, 2 sons and 2 daughters.
The sons are Co. Paul Fisher, Rogers, Arkansas, and Wayne Fisher of Alden, Iowa. The daughters are: Mrs. Adrian (Jean) Flynn, Blair, and Mrs. Warren (Mary) Peters of Wichita, Kansas. He has 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Rev. John E. Fritzmeier officiated at the 2 o’clock service at the Congregational Church on August 3rd. The Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Adrian Flynn, Jr., Patrick Flynn, Bruce Fisher, Mark Fisher, Gregory Peter and Robert Fisher. Honorary pallbearers were Capt. Wm. Fisher, John Fisher, Bradley Peter, Paul Fisher, Leslie Flynn, Monte Flynn and John Flynn.
