The remains of Carl Westerholt, who died at the Richmond Hospital following a fourth stroke of paralysis some time ago, were laid to rest in the Gustave Gnuse family lot in the Lutheran Cemetery on Sunday afternoon, Dr. G. N. Medenhall and Rev. Christian Sick, of Fremont, conducted the services at the church and a local quartette furnished the music. The floral tributes were profuse and beautiful. Mr. Westerholt was about 60 years old at the time of his death and was never married. One sister in Germany is the only surviving member of his family. He made his home with the Gnuses ever since coming to country in 1885 and was always considered a quiet, respectable man by all.
