Emmett Eugene Booher, age 69 of Mondamin, passed away March 5 at his home.
Emmett was born on October 16, 1948 in rural Missouri Valley the son of Emmett O. and Elizabeth Booher. He was a graduate of Missouri Valley High School.
In 1966 Emmett joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country until his honorable discharge on Aug. 4, 1970. He spent over 20 years working at Campbell's Soup in Omaha as a boiler engineer and later for the University of Nebraska Medical Center until his retirement. Emmett enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children: Brian (Erica) Christensen, Dawn (Bryan) Klein, Joanna Allen, Mandy Pippitt, Alicia Hardy, Kelly (Jim) Salvo, Cindy Galus, Joey (Stacy) Hardy; numerous grand and great grandchildren; sisters: Darlene Walker and Carol Clark; sisters in law: Gerry Booher and Patty Booher; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley Booher, daughter Amy, son Craig, grandson Halo, and 10 siblings.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held prior to service at 9:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
