Samuel Howard Bowden, 81, a resident of Crowell Home in Blair and formerly of Tekamah, died Saturday afternoon, March 5, 1988, at the Crowell Home.
He was born on July 15, 1906, at Tekamah to Samuel and Ellen (Sutton) Bowden.
Sam was formerly employed at Dana College in Blair for several years prior to retiring.
He was married to Maude Golden in April, 1936.
Mrs. Bowden died October 15, 1972.
Sam was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness at Blair.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Bowden of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Jerry Bowden of Waynesboro, Georgia; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Maude Ray of Tekamah.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 8, 1988, at the Hamel and Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah with Gary Strange officiating.
Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.
