SERVICES IN FT. CALHOUN FOR RAYMOND BRADLEY
Mr. Raymond R. (Red) Bradley of Ft. Calhoun passed away January 4th, at the Blair Community Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was born at Towanda, Kansas on October 7, 1894. On August 5, 1939 he was married to Erma Lindt. They farmed the Jess Thurmond farm south of Ft. Calhoun from 1941 until 1954. He also drove the Greyhound Bus and in 1959 when he retired after 35 years of service, he was presented a special safety award by the company for having had no accidents during that period. Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife Erma, three sons, Charles of Waterloo, Iowa; Francis of Shenandoah, Iowa; Eldon of Omaha; a daughter, Mrs. Elvin Lee (Betty) of Shenandoah and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martha Bradley of Des Moines. Also nine grandchildren, and a brother Merrill of Casper, Wyoming.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 6th, at the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Keith Sackett officiated. The Sievers Mortuary was in charge and burial was in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hugo Braesch, Howard Hummel, Glen Cederburg, Wm. Kay, Glen Lund and Harold Swanson.
