SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR LUCILLE BRAESCH
Funeral Services for Lucille Braesch were held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bennington, Nebraska, on Monday, March 26, 1984. Pastor Norman Schroeder officiated.
Casket Bearers were Darrell, Arvid and Duane Braesch, John Hansen, Jr., Jack Frost and Jon Frost. Joyce Johnson was soloist. She sang "How Great Thou Art" and " In the Garden." Verna Kniep was organist. Interment was in the Flower Hill Cemetery. The Hadan Golden Mortuary was in charge.
Lucille (Frost) Braesch was born November 3, 1907, on a farm northeast of Elkhorn, Nebraska, to Harry and Margaret (Eggers) Frost. She attended school at District No. 27.
She was united in marriage to Fred Braesch February 1, 1927. One daughter was born to this union. The couple lived on a farm east of Bennington until their retirement in 1973. They moved to Bennington and established their residency at 413 North 156th Street.
Lucille was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church. She took a great interest in the work of her Church. She will certainly be remembered as a faithful worshiper. She was a member of the L.C.W. and served in many ways there. She had an active membership in the Lutheran Club. Lucille (together with her husband Fred) served many years on the Social Ministry Committee. She continued with the work of the committee several years after Fred's death.
Lucille also was well known far and wide in her community. She was a member of the Eldean Extension Club for over 50 years. She belonged to the Royal Neighbors and attended regularly.
Lucille died on Friday, March 23, at the age of 76 years, 4 months, and 20 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; one brother-George Frost; one infant grandson and one grandson-Kenneth Neuhaus.
She is survived by : one daughter-Irene and son-in-law Herman Neuhaus; one granddaughter-Kathy Hoefker and husband Douglas Hoefker; two great-granddaughters-Brooke and Amy; one sister-Mrs. Alice Kroeger; and one brother-Elmer Frost; other relatives and friends.
