CLAUS BRANDT, 85, DIED AT HIS HOME THURSDAY
Claus Brandt, 85, who lived alone at 316 North 12th street in north Blair was found dead at his home last Thursday afternoon. The discovery was made by a neighbor who had been in the habit of keeping in touch with him.
The deceased, who was a widower, was born at Blair, May 17, 1889. As a younger man he had farmed and part of the time in recent years he had worked on the city's street department.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Fred Alers, of Arcadia, California and by a sister, Mrs. Emma Schneider of Omaha.
Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary last Saturday, February 23rd. The Rev. Sanford Sorgen conducted the service and burial was made in the German Cemetery near Bennington under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.
