Funeral services were Monday, August 1, at First United Methodist Church in Blair for Bernard Arvin Brenton, 44, who died July 29, 1983, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.
Dr. Gordon Patterson officiated. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.
Bernard Arvin Brenton was born February 1, 1939, in Montgomery County, Iowa, to John and Violet Egleston Brenton. He attended school in Villisca, Iowa.
In 1958, he married Karene Carlson in Villisca. They moved to Blair in 1969, where he resided until his death.
He worked in concrete construction. He was preceded in death by his father, John.
He is survived by his wife, Karene; and two sons, Bennett and Barrett, both of Lincoln, Nebraska. His mother, Mrs. Violet Brenton, Blair; one brother, William, Blair; his sisters, Mrs. David (Barbara) Benskin, Waterloo, Iowa and 11 nephews and nieces also survive him.
Pallbearers were Roger Grosnickle, Jim Olson, Bob Brown, Dick Brown, Al Dunning and Marvin Finnell.
Katy Flynn was organist. Tim Fischer and Just Friends provided the vocal music.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
