A dispatch was received here this A.M. announcing the sudden death of Miss Matilda Lorsch who was at home for Christmas, went back to Omaha Tuesday, was preparing for marriage soon and was well yesterday afternoon and died before morning. Poor, kind-hearted brother and sister Lorsch have the sympathy of everyone; good, kind-hearted people so fond of their children, to loose two by diphtheria, one by lightning and this one in just about a year is certainly a sad blow to them. We met poor, sad-hearted grandfather Lorsch, at the train as he brought back the body of his dead daughter, and tried so hard to console him as we tole him of our own five graves up on the hill. But said, be “ four in one year seems so hard for our poor hearts to bear.” The funeral will be from the family residence four miles west and in the John Allen Cemetery. Mr. Carl Feldhusen will take Bro. Parker out to officiate tomorrow afternoon.

The funeral of Miss Lorsch, who committed suicide in Omaha last week, took place at the home of her parents Saturday. Mr. Parker conducted the services. She was interred in the Allen Cemetery west of here. The parents have the heartfelt sympathy of all who know them. This is the fourth death in their home in a period of about one year.
