Mr. Lorsch, of Kennard, Dies; Farmed At Fort Calhoun Until 1947; Dies In An Omaha Hospital
John C. Lorsch, 62, of Kennard died last Thursday in Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.
He retired from farming in the Fort Calhoun area in 1947 and had been ill a year. Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Services were Sunday at Kennard Methodist Church. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.
Mr. Lorsch is survived by his wife, Minnie; and son, John R. Lorsch of Kennard; two daughters, Mrs. William Jackson (Dorothy) of California and Mrs. Hanna Mommsen ((Eleanor) of Bennington; and by three grandchildren. There are four surviving brothers, Louis, Carl and Fritz Lorsch, all of Blair, and William Lorsch of Omaha; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Klassen of Fort Calhoun, and Emma Wollesen of Raymond, Wash.

John Lorsch of Kennard died in the Emmanuel Hospital on October 18 following an operation from which he faield to rally. He had been in failing health for over a year.
John was born on a farm west of Calhoun where he grew to manhood. He was married to Miss Minnie Wortmann of near Bennington and to them three children were born, John R. of just west of Kennard; Mrs. Hans Monson, of Bennington and Mrs. Wm. Jackson of California. These with the wife survive him.
Besides the members of his immediate family he leaves four brothers, William of Omaha; Louis, Fritz and Carl of Blair and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Klassen, of Calhoun and Mrs. Emma Wollesen of Raymond, Washington.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church in Kennard and interment under the supervision of the Sievers Mortuary of Calhoun was made in the Calhoun cemetery.
