Mrs. Susan Blackstone, of this city, has word that her son, Ira E., fell into the Sacramento River while working on a bridge out there and was drowned. The only identification they had was a plate on his key ring with his name and address. The family have no other particulars at this time, other than that the body was recovered and buried out there. Beside his mother he leaves two sisters, Mrs. F. Jones, who lives near Blair, and Mrs. Jennie Owen, of Fulton, N. Y. Also, seven brothers, Robert, of this city, Ned, living at McDonald, Kans., Will in Casper, Wyo., Fred in Cody, Wyo., and Emmet, Alfred and Ralph who runs a large ranch near Burlington, Wyo.
