GRANT BREWSTER DIED WEDNESDAY, SERVICES SATURDAY
Funeral services were held on Saturday for Grant "Babe" Brewster, 54 years of age, of Lincoln, a former Blair resident, who died Wednesday in Lincoln.
The services were held at the Christian Church in Blair, the Rev. Gail Dunning officiating, with interment in Kennard Cemetery.
Mr. Brewster is survived by his wife, Grace; brothers and sisters, Pearl Brewster of Colorado, Clifford Brewster of Oregon, Orville Brewster of Saigon, Mrs. Cal Cole of Blair and Mrs. Ella Sue Massan of California.
Mr. Brewster was born Sept. 25, 1910 in Kennard. He lived most of his life in Washington County, having recently moved to Lincoln. At the time of his death he was head of the state's scales section of the State Highway Department.
Mr. Brewster served with the armed forces in World War II. He was an active member of the Washington County Democratic committee.
Pallbearers were Jim Andersen, Jr., Wayne Lambertz, Francis Mehrens, Joe McManigal, Geo. K. Nelson and Stu Mauer.
Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
