Bob Foley Died In Omaha Monday
Robert J. Foley well-known Washington County farmer and one-time member of the County Agricultural Committee, died Monday at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. He had been in failing health for some time.
Mr. Foley was a native Washington countian, having been born in this county and made it his home throughout his entire life.
He was born on Christmas Day, 1888, and was, therefore, 75 years of age. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Foley, early-day land owners of this area. By profession, he was a farmer and he followed that vocation until his retirement a few years ago.
He was married to Alma Johnson and to this union seven children were born, all of whom survive. Mrs. Foley died several years ago.
The sons and daughters are: Mrs. Margaret Wilkinson, of Lincoln, Mrs. Dorothy Van Giessen, of Gary, Indiana, Robert Foley, of Tyndall, South Dakota, John Foley of Blair, Mrs. Janet O’Hanlon of LaGrange, Illinois, and James and Gerald Foley, both of Blair.
Rosary will be held at 8:00 P.M. Thursday (this) evening and funeral services are scheduled for 10 o’clock, A.M. Friday morning at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Patrick Nolan conducting the services. Burial will be made at Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.
Pallbearers are Chauncey Wright, Rolland Smith, Gerald Daley, John Sully, Floyd Triplett and Raymond McMahan.
