Joyce J. Brown, 61, of Omaha, died Sunday, March 2, 2008.

The family will hold a private memorial service and inurnment on Friday, March 7, in Lincoln.

Joyce J. Brown was born Aug. 9, 1947, in Lincoln.

Mrs. Brown had a wonderful artistic side to her, she loved to draw, and sketched all the time. She was also an avid reader and could read many books in a short amount of time.

Her grandchildren brought her a great amount of joy, and she loved any and all pictures that her family sent to her.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Brown; parents, Kenneth and Marjorie Phillips of Lincoln; daughters and sons-in-law, Christy Davis of Omaha, Jennifer and Dan Lesoing of Lincoln, Karmen and Jim Cook of Blair; stepson and daughter-in-law, Dan and Deanna Brown of Omaha; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Connie S. Phillips.
