Services for Norma J. "Jean" Brown, 67 of Fremont who died August 4, 1992 at her home were Friday, August 7 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Steve Richert officiated. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.
Norma Martin was born August 31, 1924 in Anderson, Iowa. She moved to Faragut, Iowa as a child and to Shenandoah, Iowa after 1943. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953 and to Arlington in 1960. A homemaker, she had lived in Fremont for the past 30 years. During the last years of her life, she had heart disease and diabetes and was on dialysis.
She married Willis Brown September 9, 1943 at Rockport, Missouri. He survives.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
In addition to her husband, Willis, she is also survived by two sons, Richard and Terry, both of Fremont; a daughter, Darla Strenger of Nickerson; a brother, Berkly of Shenandoah; three sister, Beverly Klepinger of Essex, Iowa, JoAnne Mace of Dallas and Marilyn Springer of Blair; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the American Kidney Foundation.
Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
