#1 Obituary
Mrs. Eddie Hilgenkamp passed to the great beyond last Thursday afternoon, where she had been operated on, at the Nicholas Senn hospital just two weeks and one day before. While she had not been down sick she had not been well for some time, and it was thought an operation would benefit her. The remains were brought home Friday morning. Short services were held at the home Sunday afternoon and at 2 o’clock at the St. Paul’s Lutheran church north of Arlington, Pastor G.W. Wolters officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery midst a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends.
Magna Siercks had she lived one day longer would have been 26 years old. She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Siercks Sr., and came from Germany with her parents when eight years of age. Magna attended the high school here for two years, and endeared herself to all who knew her. She also took a business course at York. She was married to Eddie Hilgenkamp nearly six years ago, and leaves to mourn her great loss, a husband, father and mother, two sisters and six brothers.
#2 Letter, appended in the newspaper to the obituary
We wish to thank the many friends and neighbors who were so kind to us during the illness and death of our beloved wife and daughter, and sister. And especially to the donors of the beautiful flowers and those who so kindly took charge of them, to the minister for his kind words and the choir for their beautiful music.
Eddie Hilgenkamp
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Sierck and children
