BLAIR MAN, STRUCK BY CAR, DIES OF INJURIES
Robert F. Bruns, 75, died early Wednesday of injuries suffered when he was struck by a car backing out of a parking lot. The accident took place at the parking lot on the Fifteenth Street side of the Village Inn. Bruns makes his home at the nearby Clifton Hotel and was apparently enroute from the hotel to the restaurant for breakfast. The accident took place at 6:15 a.m.
Richard Bull, Sr., long-time Blair resident, was leaving the restaurant at the time. He backed his car out of the parking stall and Mr. Bruns was struck by the car. It was dark at the time.
The injured man was reported to have suffered a broken arm, some broken ribs and possible internal injuries.
The Blair Rescue Squad was summoned to the scene and they rushed him to the Blair Hospital where he died a short time later.
The accident is under investigation by the Blair Police Department.

ROBERT BRUNS BURIED IN OMAHA
Robert F. Bruns, Sr., Blair man who died of injuries sustained when a car backed into him at the Village Inn last week, was buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha last Saturday morning.
Mr. Bruns is survived by one son, Robert F., of Omaha, 2 sisters, both of Long Beach, California and by 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.
