Emma Wainwright Rites Wednesday
Miss Emma Wainwright, 90 years old, died at the General Hospital, in Lincoln on December 6, 1942, after a week’s illness following a heart attack.
She was one of the early Blair settlers, her father, Rev. George W. Wainwright, having moved to Blair in 1880. He was at one time pastor of the local Congregational Church and connected with the church activities with great interest.
Deceased was a woman of talent and was for years on the teaching staff of the Blair City Schools. She was an active member of the Congregational Church and after her removal to Lincoln a number of years ago she followed the church activities with great interest.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the local church in which she was so much interested with Rev. Derelle Barber officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
The pall bearers were picked among old friends and were Ray Lippincott, J. H. Grimm, J. Harold Stewart, and Philip O’Hanlon of Blair and two nephews.
