Passed away on March 29, 2016 at the age of 73. He was born in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska to Emmett and Myrtle Nelson. Survived by wife Mary of 43 years, sons Mark Townsend, Troy (Beth) Townsend, Chad Nelson and Steven Nelson, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
