C.B.BUNN, VETERAN FARMER, DIED WEDNESDAY
OLD SETTLER PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS AT AGE OF 78 YEARS
C.B. Bunn, well known and highly respected farmer living north of Blair, passed away Wednesday morning, October 18, in the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha where he had been a patient for several weeks. He had been in poor health for some time and of late he took a turn for the worse and was taken to the hospital but expert care and the best of medical treatment failed and he passed away.
Deceased was born in Battle Creek, Michigan and came to this county when he was a child with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Val Bunn, and settled on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. James Conety. His entire life, following the arrival of the family, was spent in that vicinity.
On June 8, 1890, he was married to Miss Mary E. Mead and to them three children were born, Mrs. A.R. Beales, Mrs. Opal Reeves and Byron Bunn, all living in the same vicinity and, with the aged wife, feel deeply their loss. Besides these member of the immediate family, he leaves five grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and his life exemplified the sacred teachings of the order. His dealings with his neighbors, his integrity and his kindly spirit placed in high esteem by all who came in contact with him. He was public spirited and for a long term of years served on the school board and served most efficiently. He was a good citizen, a good neighbor and a good friend. He was the last of his family to go. A sister, Mrs. Etta Barrett of Denver, Colorado, preceded him in death by only nine days.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 2:30 from the Methodist church in Blair with Rev. Clark McCaig officiating and interment under the direction of J.E. Campbell will be made in the Blair Cemetery.

RITES FRIDAY FOR C.B. BUNN
HAD SPENT LIFETIME ON BOTTOM FARM NORTH OF BLAIR
C.B. Bunn, last member of a family whose name appears often in the early-day history of Washington county, died at Clarkson hospital Wednesday morning, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Blair Methodist church, at 2:30 p.m. Friday; the Rev. A.W. Clarke of Arlington and the Rev. Sidney McCaig of Blair will collaborate in the final rites. Interment will be in Blair cemetery, with Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bunn, although born at Battle Creek, Mich., came to Washington county in his childhood and had spent more than 70 years on the Bunn farm north of Blair. He was married to Mary E. Mead on June 8, 1890, and three children were born to the couple.
The widow survives, as do the son and two daughters-Mrs. Addie Beales, Mrs. Stella Reeves and Byron M. Bunn, all of Blair. He also leaves five grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Etta Barrett of Denver, Colo., preceded Mr. Bunn in death by only nine days.
