Services for Jack Burge, 58, of Blair, who died September 22,1985, in the Blair Memorial Community Hospital, will be Tuesday, September 24, in St. Francis Borgia Catholic church. The Rev. Daniel Galas will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.
Burge was born July 24, 1927, the son of Ralph and Nila Burge of Omaha. He married Elizabeth Welp on July 16, 1960 in Bancroft, Iowa.
He was a captain in the Omaha fire department and worked for the department for 25 years.
He was a member of the Blair American Legion, VFW and Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, one son, John and one daughter, Mrs. Scott (Nancy) Stork, all of Blair; one brother, Richard and one sister, Barbara Maddux, both of San Antonio, Texas, and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Harold Alberico, Bob Crouch, Norman Hineline, Jim Marode, Gordon Pounds, Harold Statz, Brent Thilliander and Orville Webb.
Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
