Employed by Blair For 30 Years
Herman H. Allen, 73, of Blair, died suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 8, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.
Herman H. Allen was born March 4, 1938, at Walthill to J. Waine and Agnes (Hineline) Allen. He worked for the city of Blair for more than 30 years before retiring. After retirement, his friends continued to keep him busy with other jobs. All of his free time was spent fishing on the river and spending time in Niobrara. Lately, his entertainment was cruising uptown on his scooter for a drink and scratch tickets.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy Allen and significant other, Jim Beck, of Norfolk; Abby Allen of Kennard; Ann Allen and significant other, Chris Schumacher, also of Kennard; grandson, Andrew; brother, Richard Hineline; aunt, Ethel Hineline, nieces, nephews and cousins.
