Bailey, Catherine (Hall)

Catherine Hall was born in Ohio January 22, 1845. In 1856 she came with her parents for Nebraska. They settled at Florence which had been laid out by her uncle, James Mitchell. She was married in Florence to J. B. Bailey and came to Herman to reside. In 1883 they moved to Greenwood, S. D., where for thirty years Mr. Bailey was the post trader. She is survived by three sons and three daughters: Mrs. E. L. Hicks, Mrs. Harry Weldon and Mrs. John Kellogg of Phoenix, Arizona, E. B. Bailey of Sioux City, Ia, Ralph Bailey of Los Angeles and R. D. Bailey of Wagner, S. D. Her sister, Mrs. Otto Beales, lives at Ft. Calhoun. All the children were present at the burial except Ralph Bailey.
