RITES MONDAY FOR GEORGE BURNETT
Funeral services were held today (Monday) for George Burnett who died Wednesday at his home at 1737 Nebraska St.
The services were held at the First Baptist Church, the Rev. Gilbert Reiland officiating, with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.
Mr. Burnett was born Feb. 7, 1881 in Kentucky. He was a Civil Engineer before retiring.
Mr. Burnett is survived by his wife, Lillian; sons, Milton of Blair and Roy of Chillicothe, Ill.; daughters, Mrs. John Lee of Chillicothe, Ill., and Mrs. Evelyn Bends of Boran, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Herman Kuhl, Tony Snyder, Art Beck, Abe Warrick, Chuck Jensen and Mr. Bowen.
The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
